Archaeological investigations of the Roman city of Amheida in Egypt began in 2001 and are part of a larger collaboration known as the Dakhleh Oasis Project.  The project’s international team uses multidisciplinary approaches to answer questions concerning the relationship between the human settlement of the site and the natural environment.
