It’s Plastic Free July!

It’s hard to believe how quickly the summer is flying by. July is starting in a few days, which means Plastic Free July is starting, too.

What is Plastic Free July?

Plastic Free July was started as a local initiative in Perth, Australia, but has now grown into an international nonprofit organization. Every July, they run a challenge to encourage participants to refuse unnecessary plastic, to reflect on their impact on the environment, and to connect with other participants in their community and around the globe. Challengers will ditch common single-use items like bags, bottles, straws, and coffee cups, avoid plastic packaging, or go completely plastic free.

Explore NYC Parks this summer 2018

It seemed like graduation was just yesterday but NYU students are flocking back into the city for summer classes and internships. Hopefully, there won’t be too many assignments or your work hours aren’t too long because the best part about being in NYC in the summer are its parks! Hello! The school year is back and definitely keeping many of us at NYU super busy.

Worry not though, Fall Break is approaching which means we can take a breath–and read the Sustainablog! It’s been a while since our last segment of on vegan ice cream. So, welcome back to our fourth (and sadly final) review in our Vegan Ice Cream Taste Test.
