Cheap ‘n vegetarian eats to try in NYC

A look into my dozens of restaurant stars

Walk down any street in NYC and you’ll be met with smells of sizzling Halal Guys, hot dogs slathered in sauerkraut and marinated jerk chicken. As a vegetarian and an NYU student on a ~tight~ budget I find myself too often desperately Google Mapping “cheap vegetarian near me.”

Green things to do in NYC for August

Classes start after Labor Day, that means students still have a whole month to enjoy NYC without the worry of essays and exams looming over. So put aloe vera on your burns and savor your last bit of summer with good food and better beaches.

Coney Island Friday Night Fireworks, every Friday at 9:30 p.m.

Coney Island is known for its hot dogs and boardwalks, but you can turn the summer festivities into a holiday every Friday in August. After work, take the Q down to Coney Island and ride the Thunderbolt and grab dinner at Nathan’s Famous before you head to the Boardwalk to watch the light’s show.
