Bound in polished calf with double gilt fillets on front and rear covers, and black double fillets with rosette motif at corners inside gilt. Spine with four raised bacnds, gilt decorations. Red morocco labels “Keppel’s Narrative” and “Vol. I” below first and third bands respectively. Red marbled endpapers. No evidence of mss. inscription on spine.
