photo of Patrick EganWelcome! I’m a political scientist who studies Americans’ political attitudes and behavior and their consequences for public policy, partisanship, and identity. I’m a professor in NYU’s Wilf Family Department of Politics, with an associated faculty appointment at NYU’s Wagner School of Public Service and an affiliated appointment in NYU’s Department of Sociology. I’m on the faculty steering committee for the Identities & Ideologies Project @ NYU and I’m a faculty affiliate with NYU’s Center for Social Media and Politics. I regularly teach courses on U.S. politics, public opinion, and quantitative analysis at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Check out my research, teaching, and other writing about politics and political science.
