The NYU Start Page Will Require MFA as of April 27
Beginning Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 11am ET, the security of the NYU Start Page will be enhanced by requiring the use of NYU Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). A few minor improvements to the site’s menu and page organization will also go into effect at that time, with major improvements planned for next fall.
Public Wi-Fi: Proceed with Caution
Although it’s convenient to use public Wi-Fi in an airport, hotel, gym, library, or local business, remember that public Wi-Fi networks are often exploited by malicious actors seeking access to your sensitive data. For this reason, it’s critical that you remain aware of common Wi-Fi scam tactics and the best practices for safely connecting to and using public Wi-Fi.

Arabic Collections Online Posts 10,000th Book
Digital Library Technology Services (DLTS) is proud to report that it has added the 10,000th book to the Arabic Collections Online (ACO), an open-access library of Arabic language books. ACO makes use of a number of NYU IT resources to provision and maintain the infrastructure for the repository.
