The NYU IT Technology Leadership Program (TLP) offers five recent graduates the opportunity to grow their career in information technology. TLP consists of three sequential six-month rotational assignments in NYU IT departments.

SONYC Project to Research Noise Pollution
The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) featured the SONYC project in their February, 2019 newsletter. SONYC’s goal is to leverage “the latest in machine learning technology, big data analysis, and citizen science reporting to more effectively monitor, analyze, and mitigate urban noise pollution.”

Digitizing the History of New York City
During the 2018 DH+Data Day, Dana Arwas, an Industry Assistant Professor of Integrated Digital Media at NYU Tandon, delivered a presentation about the “City Record Historical Project.” The City Record is the official periodical of the city of New York, published every weekday, except for legal holidays, since June 24, 1873 and detailing the day-to-day business of running, governing, and administering one of the most complex cities in the world.

Verify Your Wi-Fi Security Certificate for 2019
When you access the NYU Roam Wireless network at the beginning of each new calendar year, you will be presented with an alert asking you to validate a security certificate before connecting. When you see the prompt, simply “Accept” the renewed certificate and connect as usual.
New Electronic Data and System Risk Classification Policy
In response to the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), NYU IT has replaced two of its data-centric policies (Data Classification Table and Reference for Data and System Classification) with a new Electronic Data and System Risk Classification Policy.
