PCCE Hosts Senior DOJ Officials for a Discussion of the Newly Announced Corporate Whistleblower Awards Pilot Program

On September 17, 2024, the NYU Law Program on Corporate Compliance and Enforcement (PCCE) hosted Nicole M. Argentieri, Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General for the Criminal Division, Brent Wible, Chief Counselor for the Criminal Division, and Molly Moeser, Chief of the Money Laundering and Asset Recovery Section, as well as academics and distinguished counsel, for a discussion of the DOJ Criminal Division’s newly-announced Corporate Whistleblower Awards Program. After Argentieri’s remarks, PCCE Faculty Director Jenifer Arlen led a fireside chat discussion with Brent Wible, followed by a moderated panel discussion that included Molly Moeser, Jane Norberg (Partner, Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP), Preston Pugh (Partner, Crowell & Moring LLP), Dan Richman (Professor, Columbia Law School), Max Rodriguez ’15 (Principal, Max Rodriguez Law PLCC), and Andrew Weissmann (Professor, NYU Law). Opening remarks were delivered by Troy McKenzie, Dean of NYU School of Law.

PCCE to Host Senior DOJ Officials on September 17th to Discuss Newly-Announced Whistleblower Program

On September 17th, 2024, the Program on Corporate Compliance and Enforcement will host U.S. Department of Justice officials Nicole Argentieri and Brent Wible as well as other experts for a discussion on the Department of Justice’s newly-announced whistleblower pilot program.

After PDAAG Argentieri’s remarks, Brent Wible will engage in a moderated fireside chat and will be taking questions from the audience.

Following remarks and the fireside chat, there will be a moderated panel discussion by a panel of experts in corporate enforcement, compliance, and whistleblower programs from both the private sector and government.  Panelists include:

  • Jane Norberg, Partner, Arnold & Porter LLP
  • Preston Pugh, Partner, Crowell & Moring LLP
  • Daniel Richman, Paul J. Kellner Professor of Law, Columbia Law School
  • Max Rodriquez, Principal and Founder, Law Office of Max Rodriguez  
  • Andrew Weissman, Professor of Practice, NYU School of Law

The event will be in-person only at NYU School of Law. Check-in will open at 5:30 pm. The program will begin 6 PM in Lipton Hall at 108 W 3rd Street, Lower Level, New York NY 10012. There will be a reception following the event from 8:00 – 8:30 PM.

Privacy Experts Share Tips for Managing an Effective Privacy Program from PCCE’s Fall Security, Privacy, and Consumer Protection Conference

On November 17, 2023, the NYU Law Program on Corporate Compliance and Enforcement (PCCE) hosted a standing-room-only full-day conference on Security, Privacy, and Consumer Protection. The conference addressed issues such as managing effective cybersecurity and privacy compliance programs, the use of “dark patterns” to manipulate consumer choices, whether privacy regulation and enforcement actions actually prompt firms to update their privacy policies, and the new amendments to the New York Department of Financial Services cybersecurity rules.
