On 29 July 2021 Dr. Waheguru Pal Singh Sidhu spoke on Doordarshan India to discuss the visit of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to New Delhi. He elaborated on the implications of the visit for bilateral, regional, and global relations between the world’s oldest and largest democracies.

On July 16, 2021, Professor Trahan gave a presentation to legal advisers of UN Missions on the topic “Security Council, the Veto Power, and International Law Accountability.” The presentation was part of a discussion series focusing on international law, armed conflict, and the protection of civilians, co-hosted by the Harvard Law School Program on International Law and Armed Conflict (PILAC). Harvard Law Professor Naz K. Modirzadeh moderated. The meeting was sponsored by the Permanent Missions of Belgium, Liechtenstein, Mexico, Norway, Sierra Leone, Switzerland and Vanuatu. On July 1, 2021, Professor Trahan also moderated a panel for the annual conference of the Australian and New Zealand Society of International Law (ANZIL). The panel was entitled “Overcoming UN Security Council Paralysis: The Role of the UN General Assembly in Preventing and Responding to Mass Atrocity.”
