Invite the community partners one week in advance. Provide the final name list and guest phone number to Marcela and Chunhao by Dec 6th. Check out the schedule below and invite them to come at the time of your presentation.
Reflect in your journal this week how the community engagement experience impacted you in the following aspects. Please be detailed and thoughtful. You may also refer to the questions here for inspiration.

Personal Growth: what strengths and weaknesses did you learn about yourself? How are you different now?
Civic Engagement: what did you learn about the approaches of working on a project? For example, teamwork, communication, understanding needs, etc.
Academic Learning: where did the community experience align or not align with the academic content? What have you learned as a result? In the presentation:The presentation is a formal project demonstration open to the whole school community. So it should live up to professional standards, including both the content and delivery. Make sure you practice beforehand.
One section of the presentation should be a summary of each member’s reflection journals from above.Presentations will follow this order:

1) 1:30-2:00 – neighborhood committee
2) 2:00-2:30 – mature garden
3) 2:30-3:00 – art ladies
4) 3:00-3:30 – new garden

Presentations shouldn’t be longer than 20 mins.

In the previous assignment you were asked to prepare a video. You can present the progress and achievements of your research using this video, since this is a better way to display information for Chinese and English speakers. As for the reflections, you can talk about them in english, because these are more important to understand for the entire class than the community partner.
