Please join Torch Tech and Women in Technology (WIT) on Tuesday, October 16, at the Kimmel Student Center, Room 406, from 12:30pm to 2pm for a lunch and a conversation with Tony Cetera, NYU IT’s Chief Information Security Officer.
October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month, and Tony’s talk coincides with one of the month’s themes, “IT Safety and Security in the Home.” Children spend time online every day, and Tony will be sharing tips for parents on how to set up access controls, communicate about best practices, and generally protect children from cyberbullying, phishing, threats that may arise in chatrooms and on social media, and more.
For security awareness resources and more information about National Cybersecurity Awareness month at NYU, please see NYU’s Security Awareness web page.
RSVP for the lunch, space is limited!
