Bio:
Kimberly Swartz is an MD/JD student at the University of Florida. Prior to pursuing her Master’s degree, Kimberly earned a bachelor’s degree from NYU with a major in biology and a minor in political science. While enrolled in the Bioethics program, Kimberly studied decision making and pediatric emergency care. Her past internships have included the FDA Office of Public Policy, AMA’s Journal of Ethics, and the AMA Office of General Counsel. She is currently serving a 2 year term as the student member of the AMA’s Council on Ethical and Judicial Affairs. Kimberly’s research interests include reproductive health, pediatrics, and regulatory policy. Most recently, Kimberly completed a project with the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice on trends in Adverse Childhood Experiences and rates of recidivism.
