Bio:
Geronimo is from Chile and has lived in several countries including Puerto Rico, the United States, Australia and now Singapore. He obtained his Masters of Arts in bioethics at New York University (NYU), and has worked as a public health researcher since 2011. At the NYU Department of Nutrition, Food Studies and Public Health he evaluated primary healthcare systems in several countries of Latin America and the Caribbean, and analysed the impact of various U.S. states health policies, including driving safety and drink driving laws, and alcohol and tobacco regulations. Additionally, he was a co-investigator in a project that studied cognitive biases in reverse innovation efforts in the public health field, and was a Teaching Assistant for undergraduate and master level courses in public and global health at NYU. He joined the Centre for Population Health Sciences (CePHaS), at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University Singapore, in 2015 as Research Associate and Project Coordinator, where he evaluated the national Advance Care Planning Program, and now is working in projects evaluating health-related apps and invesitagting how to improve primary healthcare services in Singapore. Through his career, he has collaborated with the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, the Inter-American Development Bank, the Singapore Ministry of Health and the Agency for Integrated Care in Singapore, and the World Health Organization.
