Bio:
Tiffany Briery grew up in Las Vegas, NV. After graduating from the Bioethics program, Tiffany delved into the massive urban classroom that is New York City. From the floating environmental education center The Science Barge to the elevated park The High Line, Tiffany has taught in a unique variety of outdoor urban settings. She worked as a Science Educator at The Brooklyn Children’s Museum where she used the garden, animal collection, and LEED certified building to introduce kids to environmental topics spanning from green energy to native species.
As the NYC Playgrounds Program Coordinator at The Trust for Public Land, Tiffany works with school communities to foster stewardship of future and existing student-designed schoolyards. Her role includes teaching participatory design sessions, leading tree care and garden workshops, helping teachers make curricular connections to their schoolyards, and supporting community events.
