Dr. Marina Morla investigates how sophisticated technology can contribute to advanced medicine while considering the questions its pace raises in the fields of health law and bioethics on the diligence given to the protection of patient rights. In her book Medicina personalizada de precisión y derechos fundamentales, she focuses on legal and ethical dilemmas raised by precision medicine applied through digital therapies, such as digital pills for the treatment of chronic diseases. In her forthcoming book Terapias digitales, aspectos regulatorios y su impacto en el derecho a la salud, she addressed the pathway to follow for new digital therapies to enter the market in the US and Europe, and how their extensive use may impact the right to the access of medical therapies. Having published several book chapters and scientific papers in renowned journals, she is currently leading a special issue in the Bioethics journal (in press) on how healthcare technologies may affect patient autonomy. She has participated in more than sixty conferences in Institutions and Universities around Europe.
