Kristina Nicole Mickens investigates the ethical implications of our social systems and institutions that are pertinent to our autonomy, moral positioning, and well-being. She has a background in French contemporary thought which critically intersects with her research in American political philosophy. Currently, Kristina is investigating the autonomy of marginalized persons as “progress” is systemically etched as a permanent state of American society. Kristina is working towards earning a Ph.D. in Philosophy to further pursue her ambitions in these areas of research.
