Bio:
During undergrad I did an individualized study with concentrations in Physics and Literature and minors in Philosophy and Math, for my first MA I studied English. For a while I have thought philosophy would make more sense for my interests, and I have worked on scattered ethics-related projects throughout my schooling so far. From founding RIT’s Effective Altruism club and presenting on Utilitarian aggregation at RIT’s Undergraduate Philosophy conference, to more recently blogging about related topics. My work within the classroom at both previous schools also frequently touched on these topics. My undergraduate thesis analyzed the possibility that Mary Shelley was influenced by Utilitarianism, and its implications in her writing. My MA thesis looked at the ethical significance of dystopias within both political and technological futurist thought.
