Bio:
Cara has been interested in genetics and genetic manipulation since high school. In college, this developed into a fascination with cyborgs and ethics pertaining to hybrid bodies and technologies/organs implanted in the body. Upon graduating, she taught circuitry and mechanical engineering to children ages 3-10 at the Brooklyn Robot Foundry. She currently facilitates the K-12 and volunteer programs at Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum. She hopes to develop bioethics curriculum for middle and high school students.
