NYU offers a WordPress-based Web Publishing service which we will use to create a class blog to publish the essay prompts assigned throughout the class. Using a blog platform allows you to collect the work in one place as well as read and learn from your classmate’s work, supporting the learning and discussions in class. You should have already received a notification that you have been made an Author on this site, meaning that you can draft and publish posts. Everyone will use this same blog to publish their responses. Each response should be a new post. To create a new post, log in to WordPress (wp.nyu.edu) with your NetID, visit the site address, and click New > Post in the top menu bar. You are welcome to publish and delete a test post to make sure you understand how to use the blog tools.
Online help is available via the Web Publishing Knowledge Site (wp.nyu.edu/knowledge) and the ServiceLink knowledge base (www.nyu.edu/servicelink). Through ServiceLink, you can find step-by-step instructions, as well as tutorials for most aspects of the site.
