About OPUSzines
OPUSzines is an online platform for creative expression relating for psychology to NYU students. Individuals’ creativity and imagination are welcomed and celebrated here. Adopting a blog-post format, OPUSzines publishes writing pieces and visual artwork submitted by students. It strives to provide a lens through which individuals are able to view psychology in an interesting, reflective, and artistic way. Check out the OPUSzines website here.
You can get involved with OPUSzines by submitting a short, psychology-related post. The opportunity is open to all NYU students.

Submission Instructions:
- While posts do not need to be written in APA style (i.e., a reference list is not required), please ensure that your post maintains an academic level of formality (e.g., avoid slang, use proper punctuation). You should, however, cite in APA format when quoting or referring to a specific publication or article (If you need any help on citations, you can visit https://owl.purdue.edu/owl/research_and_citation/apa_style/apa_style_introduction.html).
Accepted Submission Types:
- A summary or your thoughts on a psychology-related media article or TED talk (please include the link to the original article/video)
- Thoughts on something you learned in a psychology class that interested or surprised you
- An abstract for a paper you have written, or are writing in, a psychology class (e.g., a summary of your Applied Assignment)
- Creative pieces such as psychological poems and short stories
- Visual artwork (accompanied by a written description of the work)
- A summary of a psychology-related event you attended
- A psychology-related experience (e.g., a deidentified description of something interesting that happened at your field site)
- A short book, film, or album review that identifies psychological themes in the work
- Psychology-related memes or cartoons
- And anything creative!
