CSAW Cyber Policy Competition

The CSAW policy competition is organized by students from NYU’s Center for Global Affairs, the College of Arts & Science, the Graduate School of Arts & Science, and the School of Law. Dr. Pano Yannakogeorgos joins CSAW as the Policy faculty lead for 2020.

The Competition challenges contestants to think about the big picture of cyber security policy, economics, law, and governance. The purpose of this competition is to encourage students to think critically about major policy issues affecting society, and to impact the cybersecurity industry by presenting their ideas to leaders within the field. The 2019 competition asked teams to focus on issues pertaining to cyberware, law enforcement investigations, or data security.

Cyber 9/12 Strategy Challenge

Students enrolled in the MSGSCC will have the opportunity to compete as a team in the Atlantic Council’s Annual Cyber 9/12 Strategy Challenge. This is an annual cyber policy and strategy competition where students from across the globe compete in developing policy recommendations tackling a fictional cyber catastrophe.
