Career Resources at the CGA
Events & Networking Opportunities
The CGA hosts a range of events each semester, from public events to small roundtables and career workshops, which provide students with opportunities to build skills and network with industry professionals and leaders from around the world.
CGA hosts a public events series that examines critical global issues through a variety of lenses, such as film, journalism, art, economics, history, politics, law and international relations. These events are designed as a collaborative enterprise, drawing on the talents of NYU’s 15 schools and colleges, the greater New York community, and leaders from around the world. Most public events include a reception so you can network with speakers and guests.
CGA Evening International Career Series
The Center for Global Affairs evening “International Career Series” brings together international professionals for three moderated panel sessions in both the Fall and Spring semesters. Each session focuses on a different sector and features speakers who highlight their career trajectory and offer advice. This series is free and open to graduates as well as the public and provides ample opportunity for networking.
MSGA Career Info Sessions and Panels
The CGA hosts several career information sessions and panel discussions. Oftentimes, these sessions are specific to a particular sector, concentration, or organization. Keep your eyes out for emails to the MSGA student body announcing these events. Also, we list all of our career events (and some external events) on the website.
