Chloé Zhao was named one of the 25 New Faces of Independent Film by Filmmaker Magazine in 2013. Her feature debut Songs My Brothers Taught Me will premiere in US Dramatic Competition at 2015 Sundance Film Festival. The film received support from organizations such as Sundance Institute, San Francisco Film Society, IFP, Film Independent, Cinereach, and Time Warner Foundation and won grants such as the Chris Columbus/Richard Vague production grant. Chloé’s short film Daughters premiered at the Clermont-Ferrand International Film Festival and won Best Student Live Action at Palm Springs International Film Festival. Chloé was born in Beijing, studied Politics at Mount Holyoke College and Film Production at NYU.
