Interactive Artifacts for Fiction Stories

I. Folding Beijing

Bamboocopter

A bamboocopter that has a projector to convey visual and audio messages. This artifact is tiny enough to survive from the transitions between different worlds, and can help those who want to communicate with people from other dimensions to stay close with their important partners. It can also rapidly fly between different dimensions quietly. This is originally inspired by Doraemon.

The potential problem is that this product would not be approved by the government and it would be hard for people like Lao Dao to profit from sending messages.

II.Newton’s Sleep

Smart Lung Monitor

In this world, the toxic air is a serious issue that considerably affects people’s health. So it is important to actively protect residents from the unknown toxics. This monitor is a small device attached to your lung that constantly monitors its condition and sends instant report if a health hazard happens. This could by and large protect people from the pollution. What’s more, it is also capable of some simple treatment like infuse fresh oxygen or emergency medicines under serious circumstances.

The problem is the consistency. It would be also dangerous to regularly replace the device through surgery and if it breaks down, it would lead to inevitable damage to one’s body.

III.The Lifecycle of Software Objects

3D Creature Printer

This story reveals a sad consequence of the incompatibility of different virtual platforms and different types of data. However, this 3D creature printer could analyze data that codes the emotions and learning abilities of the digients and print them out with flesh and blood. They would be able to live in the reality instead of being trapped on the Internet. And the trainers wouldn’t have to keep maintaining the platform or let them become slaves for the virtual reality entertainment industry.

The problem is more towards ethical issues in terms of the relationship between the printed creatures and their creator. It would be hard to regulate.
