New York University Integrative Psychology Review Submission Process
General
All articles will go through several phases between submission, acceptance and publication. Your manuscript will be preliminarily screened, followed by a review phase. Finally, if your paper is accepted or returned with suggestions for improvement and revision, the journal will give a final verdict as to whether your paper will be published. All accepted papers will appear in print and online formats through the NYU IPR website in association with New York University.
Pre-Screening Phase
This step involves a brief screening prior to the review phase in order to ensure that it is both complete and abides by the requirements for article type (literature review or empirical research article). If your article does not meet the standards it will not pass this phase and will be sent back without review which will delay the publishing of your paper.
Basic Information
If accepted, we will feature a profile of the author. Please include a concise bio (200 words max) with your major, occupational endeavors, and hobbies.
IRB Approval
If any original empirical research has been conducted involving human participants, you are required to include evidence of IRB approval. If you have not done this your paper will not make it through the screening process mentioned above.
Conflict of Interest
When submitting an article it is essential that you declare any conflict of interest. Those who are responsible for the design, analysis and reporting are required to mention if they have a conflict of interest with regard to the materials submitted.
A conflict of interest results from an author’s financial or personal involvement which would influence the content of the submission. Those who have a conflict have to adhere to New York University’s regulations and procedures for disclosure of financial or personal conflict of interest.
