Thank you for your interest in the NYU Kid-Lang Project! Our research focuses on what happens in young people’s brains when they produce and understand language.

All children 6 years or older are welcome to participate, and we are especially interested in studying 1st, 3rd, and 5th graders. Parents, guardians, siblings, and friends are invited to participate as well. The study is run at NYU’s Neuroscience of Language Lab, using a non-invasive neuroimaging technique called magnetoencephalography (MEG). Families who participate in our study will receive a $10 travel stipend, and children will receive a small prize or toy as well as a certificate for participating.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve implemented safety measures for our lab that you can find here.

Interested in participating? Check our requirements and contact info on our page! We look forward to seeing you!
