• The project fits within the objective and the field of work of the foundation 
• The project has an innovative character 
• The project has an exemplary function 
• The project has a clear social basis and intended social effect.

Eligible projects:

• Individual study trips within the framework of internships, graduation projects, and PhD 
  programs
• Research projects, not covered by a Ph.D. or regular research from an institution of higher or academic education 
• Publications 
• Projects that are specifically related to the work of the namesake from the foundation

• Each application for the subsidy from individual study trips must be supported by the professor under whose supervision the graduation project is located, or by the supervisor of both the educational institution and the institution where the internship is being carried out, or by the supervisor. 
• As a rule, travel expenses, but never the costs of living and staying are eligible for the subsidy. 
• The application for a grant from a research project must be accompanied by a structured project plan, a budget of the total project and a CV from the project leader.
• As a rule, large-scale research projects are eligible only if one or more other bodies provide co-financing. The foundation prefers to grant a subsidy for specific components of an eligible project.
• The application for a subsidy from a publication must be requested by the publisher and must be accompanied by a synopsis, a budget and a CV from the author. 
• The subsidy promise will only be honored if the research project or the publication is actually realized.
