Jungseog Kang, Ph.D. 강정석 (jungseog.kang@nyu.edu)
Jungseog Kang is an assistant professor of Biology at NYU Shanghai. Prior to joining NYU Shanghai, he was a research scientist at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He holds a Ph.D. from UT Austin and a B.A. from KAIST in Korea. Professor Kang’s research interests are chromosome segregation, mitosis, and high-content drug screening.

Mahmud
a Akter is a Postdoctoral Researcher at NYU Shanghai in the Faculty of Biological Sciences. Prior to joining NYU Shanghai, she was a Researcher at Showa Company Ltd., Japan, and Hokkaido University as well. She acquired a Ph.D. in Environmental Science from Hokkaido University in 2019. Her research interests are Nanotechnology and cancer biology. Recently she has focused her research on identifying histone variants and evaluating their involvement in mitosis regulation.

Xiaoai Lyu, M.S. (xiaoai@nyu.edu)
Xiaoai is a biology Ph.D. student at NYU and NYU Shanghai. Her research focus relies on how cells escape from different types of tightly regulated safeguard machinery and become cancerous. Other than smelly E.coli and tumors, she enjoys drumming with her band, hiking in national parks, jogging towards a half marathon, traveling to see the world, feeling the summer breeze, and hanging out with friends.
Sijiao Wang, B.S. (sw5531@nyu.edu)
Sijiao Wang is currently a pharmacology master’s student at East China Normal University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in pharmacology from Southwest Medical University. Her current research interests include the mechanism of mitogenic effects on tumor development.

Danyang Yu is a professor of practice in biology at NYU Shanghai. She received her BS at Tsinghua University, Beijing, and her PhD from NYU in 2008, where she also performed postdoctoral work until 2010 in the laboratory of Stephen Small. She has published in high-ranking journals such as Cell, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the USA, and Current Biology.
Wenshu Li, Ph.D. (wenshu.li@nyu.edu)
Wenshu Li is an associate professor in practice of biology at NYU Shanghai. Prior to joining NYU Shanghai, she was a visiting scholar in the College of Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She holds a Ph.D. from the State Key Laboratory of Genetic Engineering at Fudan University and a B.S. from Jilin University. Her research interests are cancer biology and stem cell biology, focusing on the mechanism of tumorigenesis and metastasis, the molecular pathways that control the self-renewal, and proliferation of cells.

Ching-Jung Huang is an instructor of biology at NYU Shanghai. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin and an M.S. from the University of Texas at Dallas.
