Apple Has Patched iOS Zero-Day on iPhone, iPad, iPod and Watch Devices, Update Now

Please be advised that Apple has released security updates to address a severe security vulnerability being tracked as CVE-2021-1879, which is being actively exploited, and affects multiple models of the iPhone, iPad, iPod and watch devices. The vulnerability, if exploited, would allow a malicious actor to steal data or deploy malware to compromise your data and device(s). Users of the following affected devices are advised to update to iOS 14.4.2 for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch:

  • iPhone 6s and later
  • iPad Pro (all models)
  • iPad Air 2 and later
  • iPad 5th generation and later
  • iPad mini 4 and later
  • iPod touch (7th generation)

For discontinued models of the iPad, and iPhone 6 and older models, update to iOS 12.5.2. Watch users (Watch series 3 or later) should update to WatchOS 7.3.3. Updates may be made on your devices via Settings > General > Software Update.
