Necropolis
The zine is composed of several writings initially contained within my journal, written live at the time of me witnessing strange happenings at Langone Hospital and instances of harassment and assault in Washington Square Park. All of the white-on-black drawings were added later. It was written during a very dark time in my life, when my health issues were pushing me to the brink of life, and everything and everyone in New York seemed to be warped, barely living dead. This inspired the title, Necropolis.
Sylvia Breaux is a junior at Gallatin from Fairfax, Virginia. Her concentration is in writing for visual media and her art is informed by her experience as a transfemme person and that one time she got seven kidney stones.
