ARTIST STATEMENT:
What does it mean to live?
This work seeks to engage between our inside world and the outside world. What exists in the spaces in between? Through this narrative dance film, the filmmaker explores how these concepts can manifest in human beings and the everyday occurrences of life.
BIO:
Justine Kaneda (she/her) is a Japanese American filmmaker, actor, and dancer. She is currently pursuing an MA at NYU Gallatin and is developing her concentration on producing and performing the art of identity. Passionate about the representation of diverse narratives and identities, Kaneda strives to celebrate authentic storytelling.
