Think Outside the box

STATEMENT:

“And because I found I had nothing else to write about, I presented myself as a subject” – Michel de Montaigne

Similarly, because I found I had nothing to write about, I presented writer’s block as a subject. Think Outside the is then its result: this short is inspired by the phrase “think outside the box” (surprise) and the theory of Schrödinger’s Cat. A man asks a box what is inside the box. The box responds to him that the answer is not in the box. Meanwhile, a writer initiates the same quest with his typewriter. Can the two men find the answers to their self-explanatory questions? Think Outside the Box is then an attempt that is doomed to fail, just like its characters. While I break my own block as a writer-filmmaker, the film’s failure is already prophesied in its title.
