Egg (Film)
STATEMENT:
This work was based on my experience with my own mother during the pandemic. I noticed cultural gaps between us due to the time we spent apart from each other.
ARTIST BIO:
Bo (she/her) is a visual artist and a filmmaker based in NYC and Seoul. Currently studying Female Narrative on Screen at NYU Gallatin, her work includes film photography, graphic illustrations, production design, and directing and writing for film. In every medium of art, her works delicately portray the ordinary lives of her loved ones and herself. By creating works that show one’s experience in a delicate, deliberate, yet detached manner, Bo hopes to showcase the intricately tangled relationships between private experiences and social issues. After all, individual experience is a shared experience. She believes in the power of visual storytelling and hopes to create a more diverse, safe, and inclusive space on the screen for future creatives and their audiences. She also loves avocados and fluffy dogs.
