ARTIST STATEMENT:
“Nothing To See Here explores the tickling and often paradoxical theories on Nothing. The concept of Nothing is interdisciplinary and I attempted to capture each subject’s interpretation: biblical references, Nietzsche’s nihilistic theories, King Lear’s madness, research on vacuums, and black holes. While much of the material is represented in the swirling papers, there were some topics that were too complex to be put into words (such as physics). I ended up expressing it in art: the dotted background represents Spacetime, the mysterious fourth dimension developed by Einstein in his Theory of Relativity. As every subject blends into the next, the result is this whirlwind of a poster. Your quick glance at this swirling black hole will be forgotten by tomorrow so why should I waste your precious time? There is simply Nothing To See Here.”
