ARTIST STATEMENT:

‘“mon homme” is focused on desire, and the idea of a singular affection. How that “one” is fragmented in the mind and imaginary in desiring, as desiring can be not the actual want of the person or thing itself but rather the lack of the void. I am seeking to engage with thoughts of desire and void, singular and fragment, and black and white as representing and further intertwining these deeply entangled spaces. The music and visual cohesion I wanted to achieve was one of a visceral melancholy and visceral yearning in the same space. A gentle nature and a heartbreaking nature. (full title is : “je le déteste il n’est joli il n’est pas intelligent il est mauvais il n’est pas mon homme mon homme est joli et intelligent, mais cet homme, il est horrible”)”
