Description of Internship:
Gallatin students would help to create and facilitate after school programming for the middle school section of the Professional Performing Arts School. Surveys with suggestions are given out at the beginning of the term. Past surveys have expressed interest in chess, a newsletter and debate club. We would have a MY staff member with the Gallatin student at all times, helping to facilitate and brainstorm ways to be innovative and fun for the students.
Desired Skills:
We hope that students learn different skills like strategy, leadership, writing and reading skills and advocacy.
Other Requirements:
Ideally a student that has experience with these clubs and who is a self-starter but AP Huang, myself and my staff will always be available as thought partners and to help build this program.
