Description of Internship: Brooklyn Experimental Art Foundation (BEAF) is seeking a creative Marketing/Press Intern to join our team. As a Marketing/Press Intern, you will play a pivotal role in promoting our current artist residency program while also assisting in various marketing and press-related tasks. While this internship is unpaid, it offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in arts marketing and press relations within a dynamic startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with BEAF and a videographer to plan and execute the marketing campaign for our current residency program.
• Design digital marketing assets to promote our programs and initiatives.
• Format and update press clippings to maintain an organized record of media coverage.
• Assist in drafting and formatting press releases to announce upcoming events and initiatives.
• Update and maintain active presence on social media platforms including X, Instagram, and LinkedIn, ensuring consistent and engaging content.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director on the web3 membership initiative, which involves leveraging marketing efforts for BEAF to enhance membership benefits and engagement.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure alignment of marketing and press efforts with organizational goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in a degree program focused on art management, marketing, communications, or related field.
• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in graphic design software and familiarity with social media platforms.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote team environment.
• Passion for the arts and a desire to contribute to the growth of emerging artists and cultural initiatives.
• Japanese language skills or knowledge of Japanese culture helpful but not required.
