The HCUND (hcund.org), a 69-year-old, volunteer-run non-profit [501(c)(3)] organization financed solely by private contributions, is the only such organization based inside the United Nations General Assembly building in New York. HCUND produces educational and cultural programs to help UN delegates and their families get to know New York, New Yorkers, and each other.

INTERNSHIP INFORMATION

Description of Internship:
Intern would be interacting with diverse individuals and working alongside volunteers and staff and gain hands-on experience in event planning and arrangements for the Ambassadors’ Ball, the proceeds of which support HCUND’s educational and cultural programs. The work is largely administrative and would include working closely with the Ball chair on event-related tasks including data entry for auction items and material for a Journal celebrating the work of HCUND and the UN. Additional office tasks as needed. Position is not paid.
