Description of Internship:
We are seeking a Data Collection Intern to join the Research team. A successful candidate will have a strong interest in data, from collection, to management to analysis (specifically within the art market). The candidate also will have exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail. The candidate should be passionate about efficiency, optimization, analytics and research. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who thrive in a dynamic, team-based environment with the initiative to work independently. The role would be a member of the Research team and work directly for our Data Strategy Manager.
Responsibilities Overview:
– Visit libraries (New York Public Library, the MET etc.) to collect data on / research artwork and art market participants;
– Engage in and improve the processes for existing workflows;
– Be a team player, flexible with responsibilities and be able to pick up general tasks when called upon.
Desired Skills:
– Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail;
– Interest in art market research or art history generally is a plus;
– Familiarity with google sheets.
Other Requirements:
– Must be able to work in the office in the NYC area.
– Available to work part time (20-30 hours per week) or Full time (35-45 hours per week)
– Must be available to work Fall 2023 (exact dates are flexible and to be determined)
– Must be authorized to work in the US – no exceptions.
– Compensation: $15/hr
