Description of Internship: Alliance is making a film focusing on our Peer Program–past and present–that will illustrate the effect Alliance has had in changing people’s lives, and the contributions we have made towards ending the AIDS epidemic in NYC and NYS. The Alliance Peer Documentary will tell the story of transformation through first hand cinema-verite (“cinema of truth”) filming of the 30th anniversary Peer Class of 2022 (May 2, 2022 – June 3, 2022). Our goal is to highlight Alliance’s work to empower peer program participants to tell their stories and concurrently to tell our own story.
The Peer Documentary Production Assistant will support the work of Alliance’s communications department and Peer Documentary production team. As our Production Assistant, you will have a chance to interact and learn with the Peer Documentary film maker and production team, the PREP training class, and staff and Peers of Alliance.
This is a paid internship.
Desired Skills: Technically savvy: Excel, Office Suite, social media platforms, video editing, Photoshop, etc.
Ability to travel to Alliance for Positive Change’s Herald Square office and/or film shoots in and around NYC metro area
Other Requirements: Provide a minimum of 10 hours/week at The Alliance for Positive Change (including the Peer Class Training every Monday and Tuesday throughout May)
