Description of Internship: SURROUND is seeking a part-time intern to assist in media management, digital archiving, and video editing. This will entail developing and implementing an archive system for existing work, as well as cleaning, backing-up, and updating files in varying Adobe programs. This position will work closely with Surround’s project manager to develop successful workflows and streamline the archive process for Surround’s creative team. The position may include additional work in video editing and research, depending on SURROUND’s needs and each candidate’s qualifications.
Interns will have direct access to the SURROUND creative leadership team, who can provide valuable mentorship in the intersection between creativity and advertising, and will include one-on-one time to work closely with this position on developing new skills in multiple disciplines and addressing industry questions and norms.
The ideal candidate is well versed in Adobe Premiere, After Effects,Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign, and is a self-starter who works well independently. They are pursuing a degree in film or photography.
The internship would be two days a week in-person at SURROUNDs Dumbo offices.
