WHY HELP OUT A LOCAL CHURCH OR COMMUNITY MINISTRY?
This internship will give you the opportunity to help increase the reach of a local church, so those within their community can learn about them and what they do for the community. The goal of your participation in this project is not only to be able to help congregations come into the 21st century in terms of their communication skills, but also to help them become more rooted in a mission of service and presence within their community.
WHAT IS IT?
The goal of this project is to give every parish in the Episcopal Diocese of New York dynamic and sustainable resources to increase their communication tool belt. This includes:
– website building
– social media training
– email setup help
– and much more!

WHAT DOES THIS ROLE ENTAIL?
Some of the tasks for this internship could include:
– Building Websites in a Website-Builder (Google Sites, Mailchimp, etc)
– Support trainings in social media usage, Zoom management, streaming set-up, etc
– Envisioning with Church Communities what they want their online presence to look like
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for dedicated, tech literate folks who would be willing to help congregations build out sustainable communication platforms, especially websites. You don’t necessarily have to be a tech-wiz to help out with this project, but you do need to be able to pick up on technological pieces quickly and be willing to learn. This role would be perfect for a junior or senior in high school or a college student.
Proficiency in the following programs is a must:
– Microsoft Office
– Google Suite
– Both Apple and Microsoft Operating Systems
– HTML knowledge preferred but not required
