A non-profit NYC arts organization founded in 1974 in New York State, its the world’s longest running and most prolific aesthetic panel discussion series. Since then it has featured over 8,500 artists, art writers, critics, historians and curators in more than 1,000 talks. In 2016 ATOA consigned its historic archive to Archives of American Art of the Smithsonian. That tradition lives on these days primarily via Zoom streaming on a weekly basis. Well known artists such as Christo & Jeanne-Claude, Joan Semmel, Larry Rivers, Louise Bourgeois, Will Barnet, Grace Hartigan and Kehinde Wiley have appeared.
