Neighbor to Neighbor Volunteer Corps
Organized by the Offices of Faculty Housing and Work Life, the Neighbor to Neighbor Volunteer Corps is aimed to provide support to neighbors through telephone check-ins. Volunteers are reaching out to neighbors to let them know that there is someone they can rely on in case of emergency, someone who can help them with to-go meals, technical assistance and mental wellness. The goal is to address social isolation and to deepen neighbor to neighbor connections. Approximately 70 volunteers hail from different buildings across the housing portfolio and about 20 volunteers including students and faculty come from the Silver School of Social Work and Global Spiritual Life.
