Cecilia was born and raised in Birmingham, AL, and now calls NYC home. She earned her bachelor’s degree at NYU in Biology and Global Public Health and recently received her MPH from NYU. Her masters thesis explored the relationship between infant mortality and frequency of prenatal care in the US.

When not in the lab, Cecilia can be found in the ceramics studio throwing at the wheel and listening to the Grateful Dead and Taylor Swift. Or, where she spends a lot of her time now, studying for the MCAT under the close supervision of her cat Althea.
