Beth Russell is the Associate Director, Research Services and Strategy and Associate Academic Librarian for the Humanities at New York University Abu Dhabi. In this role she oversees the Library’s programs in digital scholarship, research and instructional services and collections and technical services, working in conjunction with global NYU Libraries colleagues to build library programs that support the teaching, research and learning of our students, faculty and staff.
Her professional service includes appointments on the Digital Research Tools (DiRT) editorial board and on the Digital Library Federation Planning Committee, among others. Her current research focuses on faculty partnerships in the digital humanities and was featured in “The Collaborative Project Management Model: Akkasah, an Arab Photography Project” in Digital Humanities, Libraries, & Partnerships published by Chandos Publishing in 2018. She is co-founder of the Winter Institute in Digital Humanities.
Rebecca Pittam
Digital Content Specialist

Rebecca joined New York University Abu Dhabi in December 2013 as an Academic Technologist for Audio and Visual Media and has since transitioned into her role as Digital Content Specialist. Prior to this she worked at Coventry University in the UK as a Technical Instructor in Media.
Having a Bachelor of Arts (hons) in Photomedia & Design Communication and a Masters degree in Contemporary Arts Practice, Rebecca understands the key elements in producing a high standard of work using a variety of different mediums. Her strengths and key skills are within video and photography. She enjoys helping faculty, researchers, and students with incorporating media into their teaching and research.
Taylor Hixson
Librarian for Geospatial Data Services

Taylor joined New York University Abu Dhabi and the CDS team in January 2018. Prior to this she worked at the University of Chicago Library as the Resident Librarian for Geographic Information Systems.
Taylor’s strengths are in accessing and documenting geospatial data. She is also skilled at using a variety of desktop and web GIS. One of her favorite parts of the job is providing outreach and instruction that helps GIS users of all levels learn more about spatial data literacy. Taylor holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and a Master of Science in Information Sciences.
