Welcome to the blog for the Center for Digital Scholarship (CDS) in the NYU Abu Dhabi Library! We’ll use this space as a way to feature the types of work that we do in the CDS as well as the Library’s Archives and Special Collections, while also highlighting interesting projects and partnerships, things that we’ve found on the web that we feel are worth sharing, and more.
The CDS is dedicated to the library and academic technology needs of faculty and advanced researchers. We aim to be a hub for scholars to come together for discussion, workshops and consultations on digital innovations and for fostering innovative interdisciplinary inquiry.
The NYUAD Archives and Special Collections are home to the library’s rare books and audiovisual items, university archives and special collections. Our goal is to document the history of NYUAD through the collection and preservation of archival material, and to provide access to rare and unique primary sources to support, enrich and augment the research interests of students and faculty.
We also manage the NYUAD Digital Humanities Interest Group, which fosters discussion around DH in the region. To join the conversation, email nyuad.dh@nyu.edu.
We encourage questions, comments and suggestions and look forward to hearing from you in person, via e-mail or in the comments!
