Arabic Collections Online (ACO) is a publicly available digital library of public domain Arabic language content.
In November 2017 The United Arab Emirates National Archives joined the project and after an initial training period the National Archives were well placed to begin the digitisation project for Arabic Collections Online.
The pilot book for this collaboration has now been published and work is well underway on completing the next batch of books for publishing.
The CDS involvement in this project involves the quality control for the digitisation process, assisting on any technical issues that the National Archives face and dispatching the digitised files to New York for submission to the collection.
A great workflow has been established between the 3 departments and we are looking forward to having new books added in the near future.
