Patents, anyone?

Patents are an important topic for many scientists on campus. For that reason a Patent Research Lecture Series was held on 14-17 September 2014, in collaboration with Science & Engineering Librarian Amani Magid. The series was presented by Rachel Pilloff and Sean Passino who are two patent attorneys in the US with backgrounds in biology and chemistry, respectively. The topics presented include: Intellectual Property for Engineers, Introduction to Intellectual Property, Invention Mining, and Nuts & Bolts of a Patent Application. The series, which was held during lunch time, was well attended, including all of the Capstone Engineering Students attending the first lecture.
