*May 25, 2024*: Our article entitled “OMEF biochip for evaluating red blood cell deformability using dielectrophoresis as a diagnostic tool for type 2 diabetes mellitus” is published in the flagship journal “Lab on a Chip”. It is also selected for the themed collection “Lab on a Chip Emerging Investigators”. Furthermore, the developed biochip is featured as a Back Cover on the Journal’s Issue.
*May 10, 2024*: Prof. Qasaimeh is delivering an invited talk entitled “Multifunctional Modular “LEGO-Like” Microfluidic Probes for Biomedical Applications” during the International Biomaterials and Biofabrication Emerging Technologies Conference in Nancy, France, May 16-17, 2024.
*May 1, 2024*: Prof. Qasaimeh is delivering a research lecture entitled “Developing Microfluidic Sensors for Restoring Tactile Sensation in Laparoscopic Surgery” to the College of Engineering at the American University of Sharjah, on Tuesday May 7, 2024.
*April 1, 2024*: The patent for our technology “Paper Capillary Lateral Flow Fluid Filter for Bacterial and Nanometer Sized Particle Contamination” is now granted.
*March 10, 2024*: Prof. Qasaimeh is delivering a research seminar entitled “Off-the-shelf and Novel Microfluidic Sensors for Restoring Tactile Sensation in Laparoscopic Surgery” during the “Johnson & Johnson MedTech External Innovation Keynote Lecture Series”, on Thursday March 14, 2024.
